We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and decorating interior and exterior surfaces to a high standard throughout Hotels, Cafes, Care homes & Restaurant / Pub Chains in the Midlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Decorate interior and exterior spaces according to client specifications.
- Protect surrounding areas and furniture from damage during work.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and organised manner.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing advice on finishes and techniques.
- Complete work to agreed deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in painting and decorating (desirable)
- Proven experience as a painter and decorator.
- Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and in various physical conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Health and safety awareness, including the safe use of ladders.
