The Heart of the Role
Baguley Athletic is more than just a club; we are a family. We are seeking a visionary Head of Female Football & Development to spearhead our growth. This isn’t just about coaching; it’s about building a legacy. You will be the architect of our female pathway, ensuring every player—from their first kick to the adult game—has a place to play and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Develop and implement a long-term strategy to increase participation across all female age groups.
- Coaching Excellence: Mentor and support existing coaches within the female section, ensuring a consistent and positive philosophy across the teams.
- Recruitment: Lead initiatives to attract new players, coaches, and volunteers to the girls' and women's sections.
- Community Engagement: Act as the primary ambassador for female football at Baguley Athletic, building links with local schools, the FA, and community partners.
- Pathway Development: Create a seamless transition for players moving from youth football into open-age/senior squads.
- Safeguarding & Standards: Ensure all female teams operate within FA guidelines and maintain the high standards of the Baguley Athletic ethos.
Who We Are Looking For
We need someone who is as passionate about community as they are about the 'beautiful game.'
- Experience: Proven background in football coaching or sports development (FA Level 2/UEFA C preferred).
- Leadership: The ability to inspire volunteers and lead a diverse group of players and coaches.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable speaking to parents, players, and the committee.
- Vision: A 'big picture' thinker who can see the potential in our club and isn’t afraid to build it.
- Compliance: Must hold (or be willing to undergo) an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding certifications.
