The Training:
As a painting and decorating apprentice, you'll be learning from your team of expert colleagues, attending college training, and getting the chance to practice what you have learned on the job. You'll also get to spend time in our bespoke Training Academy under the guidance of expert tutors whose purpose will be to give you all the tools required for you to excel in your new career.
Our apprenticeship rates are in line with the Construction Industry Joint Council (CIJC) Working Rule Agreement:
- Year one: £312.00 per week
- Year two: £331.11 per week, or the National Minimum Wage for age.
- Year three: £386.49 - £494.13 per week, dependent on college progress.
Kit and Equipment:
Here at Bagnalls we believe along with the best training you also need the best quality kit and equipment. That is why all our Apprentices and staff receive everything they will need to become masters in their craft free of charge. This includes:
- A fully stocked tool bag on day 1 of your Painting and Decorating apprenticeship.
- Branded workwear including T-Shirts and overalls.
- Personal protective equipment including safety boots and hard hat.

What happens next?
Our recruitment team will be conducting telephone interviews with prospective candidates on Tuesday 02 June 2026, and successful candidates from this stage will be invited to a face-to-face interview at our London Weybridge branch on Tuesday 30 June 2026 with a contracts member of the HR team. This role would be expected to start late August, with college lessons due to begin in September.
