Trainee Contracts Manager – London. Salary from £30,014.40 with a pay review every 6 months. Higher salary may be available depending on relevant experience/qualifications.

The Role

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to be trained in all aspects of project managing major painting and decorating contracts. This includes customer liaison, surveying, estimating, cost control and managing projects from initial enquiry through to completion and final account agreement.

Your Development

You will be supported by a mentor to develop in the role of Trainee Contracts Manager. You’ll train alongside practical experience, dealing with the hands-on running of projects in a busy contracting office. We encourage you to pursue further qualifications which could involve going to university. As you progress you will have the opportunity to manage your own jobs and develop your own customer base. If successful, there would be opportunities to progress within the company.

  • 5 GCSEs Grades A*-C including English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Full driving licence

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to show initiative and to work independently

  • Some work experience or training
  • AS or A2 Level or construction-related qualification

This role is based at our Brooklands office (KT15) with the nearest station being Byfleet and Newhaw. Face to face interviews will be conducted at our Teddington office on 20 March.

Reward Package

The initial salary reflects the trainee nature of the post with a high level of support and input for development. You will have the prospect of a higher salary, performance-related bonus and potentially a company car as you progress. The exact salary will depend on qualifications and previous experience.
