What you’ll be doing:
- Operating HGV Class 2 skip and RoRo vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Delivering, exchanging and collecting containers across commercial and industrial sites.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly (DVSA compliance).
- Using tablet‑based systems to maintain accurate digital records and waste transfer notes.
- Working safely at all times and following site, transport and road regulations.
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers on site.
- Supporting the wider transport and depot team at our Sheffield site.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
- Proven experience in skip or RoRo operations within the waste sector.
- A strong understanding of driver compliance, vehicle safety and daily defect checks.
- A reliable, professional approach with strong safety standards.
- Good communication skills and a practical, customer‑focused attitude.
- Flexibility to support operational needs, including a 6am start and occasional Saturday work.
