This opportunity is for a detail-oriented Senior Management Accountant (SMA) with a flair for process improvement and systems development to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller (FC), this role provides an excellent opportunity for a current Senior Management Accountant or recently qualified Management Accountant looking to contribute across traditional management accounting and broader finance initiatives.
Working closely with the FC and wider Finance team, plus key stakeholders across the group, this role supports traditional management reporting, external financial reporting, and the annual financial audit, as well as project work focused on modernising and future-proofing financial systems and processes across the BAFTA group. This role combines technical accounting, project management, and problem-solving to shape BAFTA’s financial control environment.
Responsibilities- Support delivery of traditional management reporting and external financial reporting.
- Assist with the annual financial audit and liaise with auditors.
- Lead or participate in projects that modernise, streamline, and future-proof financial systems and processes.
- Collaborate with the FC and wider Finance team to improve controls and processes.
- Provide technical accounting input and contribute to the development of process improvements.
- Full accounting qualification; ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with PQE 1+ year.
- Experience with accounting systems and finance databases.
- Proven experience delivering improvements to financial processes, systems, and internal controls.
- Experience working in small Finance teams to deliver high-quality annual financial audits.
- A salary of circa £55,000 per year.
