Our opportunity:
The Executive Director of Programmes is responsible for the development and execution of our programme strategy, namely BAFTA’s Talent Development Programmes which drive the charity’s work in EDI; and the Industry and Public Programmes which drive BAFTA’s editorial engagement with the screen industries and the wider public.
The role has three clear functions: Lead a team to devise and deliver the current Talent Development Programmes with a remit to scale and evolve the Programmes according to BAFTA’s new commitment to scale its EDI activities - from school age learning through to career-long skills development. Devise the editorial plan for a yearlong calendar of activities that engage BAFTA members and other practitioners across Film, Games and Television in conversation, discussion and debate and drive BAFTA’s Purpose to “enrich the cultural landscape, level the playing field, drive progress, celebrate and inspire”. This will include activities across all BAFTA branches, Nations & Regions outreach, in addition to the creation of virtual assets.
BAFTA is also committed to engaging the public in the screen arts to both promote excellence in storytelling and craft, and to encourage the wider public to explore the societal benefits of creative learning and engagement. In 2026, the Executive Director of Programmes, alongside the CEO and BAFTA Leadership team, will develop a new public-facing programme of activities to execute this mission.

- You\'ll have experience in programming or management, preferably in the screen industry with a strong focus on editorial content and impact driven programming
- Able to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
- An exceptional leader with ability to coach and lead with vision
- You\'ll have a strong understanding of how to measure event impact, including fundraising, engagement and long term outcomes
