Job title: Security Training and Team Lead (Edgewing) Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role. Salary: £53,211 Dependent of skills and experience What you\’ll be doing: Ensure that all employees, and where applicable contractors, receive appropriate security awareness training, education, and regular updates on organisational policies and procedures relevant to their roles Confirm that individuals are competent based on appropriate education, training, or practical experience Develop and enhance Red Team operations by applying adversary emulation, cyber threat intelligence, Red Team methodologies, and structured engagement planning Support the development of a strong security culture within the joint venture by increasing awareness among staff and leadership, and by role-modelling security values and desired behaviours through training Organise and prepare cyber security exercises, and manage collaboration with national and international bodies on initiatives to build threat analysis capabilities Your skills and experiences: Essential Previous experience in either training or security, with the ability to identify, design, and deliver effective training programmes; demonstrates transferable skills and a proactive approach to upskilling both self and others Manages own areas of responsibility within a project, demonstrating accountability and a clear understanding of personal deliverables Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels Desirable Previous experience working within a high-risk, regulated environment Holds a diploma or equivalent qualification in a security-related field Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Edgewing Security Assurance Team You will be joining a highly motivated, experienced team within the BAE Systems Air sector, committed to the delivery and progression of a Future Combat Air System (FCAS) for the UK. You will play a central role in working across a diverse stakeholder group of functional and delivery teams including tri national industry and government colleagues from across our partner nations to support the delivery of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).
