Job title: IT Applications Team Leader (Oracle)

Location: Rochester, Kent

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the allocation & delivery of work within the Team, including feeding into the main Resource plan
  • Set objectives and conduct Personal Development reviews for direct reports
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, development plans and training for direct reports
  • Identify and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including Customers & Suppliers
  • Manage Business escalations, taking appropriate actions
  • Ensure that incidents related to Applications are resolved within SLA's and other Key Performance Indicators for the team are met
  • Manage the delivery of improvements and small implementation projects
  • Ensure that the team adheres to policies, procedures, standards and guidelines applicable to IM&T
  • Identify, facilitate and deliver, process changes etc. that improve the effectiveness and motivation of the team and it's deliverables

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience as a Oracle eBusiness Suite or Cloud Fusion application specialist
  • Good communication and presentation skills; can articulate concepts to non-technical stakeholders as well as technical / knowledgeable subject matter experts
  • Deep understanding of the Application Lifecycle Management Process and using Waterfall, Agile and hybrid methodologies
  • Experience leading a small to medium size team

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience using the Atlassian tools (Jira, Jira Service Management, BitBucket, Confluence)

The IT team:

A This team is responsible for the implementation, enhancement, and second-line support of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software applications used across the business. The application portfolio includes key systems such as Oracle ERP, Siemens PLM, and Aegis MES.

With the business currently undergoing a major Digital Transformation Programme – including the replacement of several core applications – this is a unique and exciting opportunity to support both the COTS team and the wider organisation through a period of significant change.
