What you'll be doing:
- Manage the current technical information libraries for BAE Systems Maritime and Land Defence Solutions
- Perform duties of Crypto custodian in accordance with JSP 490
- Liaise and correspond with external MOD and civilian authorities and organisations regarding technical information supplied and received
- Mange library facilities in Portsmouth Naval Base consisting of protectively marked material accountable for cataloguing, amending issuing and destruction to avoid breached in security
- Ensure implementation of all physical and documentary security policies to avoid security breaches
- Assess the adequacy of the security measures within their business area to ensure that policies and procedures are up-to-date and take account of developments
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Previous experience working with an FSC (Facility Security Clearance) and Crypto environment
- The use of various MOD IT software tools, including SSDD for analysis of technical information
- To have a proactive approach to solving problems, working with the wider team to develop solutions
- Must have the ability to achieve DV Security Clearance or able to achieve this

The Security Operations team:
BAE Systems Maritime & Land Defence Solutions (M&L DS) Security provides physical, Information, personnel and regulatory security solutions to a business that 'delivers in-service support, including training services, world-wide engineering support to the Royal Navy's Portsmouth-based flotilla, as well as the design and manufacture of combat systems, torpedoes and radars.'
As part of the M&L DS Security Operations team, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of 21 security professionals across all these business areas incorporating five sites across the United Kingdom. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge working with a broad stakeholder/ seniority group in a dynamic and proactive security function.
