Salary: Up to 45,998 (dependent on skills and experience)

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintenance, commissioning, defect diagnosis and rectification on Electrical High-voltage/Low-voltage Systems
  • Apply depth and breadth of knowledge relating to Electrical High-voltage/Low-voltage systems in order to resolve the most complex challenges, issues and faults associated with commissioning, operation, and performance of systems
  • Present designated trials and commissioning activities
  • Operate Safe Systems of Work that comply with the company SHE procedures at all times
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced Engineers
  • Provide information and technical advice to assist in the compilation of estimates, programs and work packages

Your skills and experiences:

  • Deep knowledge and experience of Electrical Low-voltage systems and what influences their performance
  • Ability to work with a high degree of technical autonomy and provide advice and guidance to other technical staff
  • Ability to engage with customers and authorities in writing, by telephone or face to face to discuss technical issues and problems
  • Minimum NVQ/HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in High-voltage systems would be advantageous

The Electrical Systems Team:

Conducting Electrical HV & LV Systems commissioning, operation, maintenance, and defect rectification activities on board Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) Aircraft Carriers, Type 45 (T45) Destroyers, Type 23 (T23) Frigates, HUNT class and any contracted tasking.
