Job Title: Undergraduate Submarines Production Safety and Environmental
Location: Barrow (Cumbria)
We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.

What you\’ll be doing
- Liaise with stakeholders as required ensuring that their requirements are adequately supported and that their needs are fully considered and incorporated as agreed.
- Provide realistic programme status, identify problem areas and implement agreed recovery plans.
- Provide support for assurance that the design is adequate i.e. it is robust, and provide supporting documentation for the safety case.
- Provide support to the Certificate of Design activities appropriate to the discipline.
- Responsible for articulating and presenting technical arguments clearly, logically and simply.
- Access, understand and apply relevant Quality and SHE Management Systems documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to the work scope and obey all SHE rules & control measures.

Qualification requirements
As a minimum requirement you\’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, a Safety Related Degree – e.g. Safety Critical Systems Engineering, Fire Safety and Risk Management, Physics, Maths, or other similar STEM degree.
