What You\’ll Be Doing Helping submarines meet stealth performance goals by carrying out Noise and Vibration measurements (structure borne, airborne & fluid borne) throughout a submarine lifecycle from equipment prototypes, Factory Acceptance Testing, in-build submarine measurements & in service submarine support
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide relevant noise & vibration data to influence and guide design decisions
Developing Junior Engineers
Equipment condition based monitoring and diagnostics assessments – ISO 18436
Communicating effectively with the ability to coordinate teams
Grasping technical tasks and spotting opportunities for improvement
Confidently inquiring traditional approaches with an innovative mindset
Adapting positively to a change in a dynamic environment
Essential Your skills and experiences: A STEM background (science, technology, engineering, or maths)
Proficiency in at least one acquisition software (e.g. Siemens LMS, HBK Connect) HBK (Bruel & kjaer) Connect acquisition software – or experience in rotating machinery commissioning / instrumentation
The ability to discuss technical findings to stakeholders of various technical backgrounds
Desirable Detailed Knowledge of noise and vibration measurement techniques and data analysis
Proficiently in HBK (Bruel & kjaer) Connect acquisition software – or previous versions of Pulse/labshop
CAT 2/3 vibration assessment – ISO 18436
Machinery Balancing Experience
Engineering Knowledge of Motor/Pump/Fan configurations to aid N&V analysis

The Stealth Engineering Department (NAVED) You\’ll be part of a team responsible for stealth assessments on single equipment tests all the way up to measurements of hundreds of transducers during critical commissioning phases of one UK\’s most complex engineering platforms. As a Senior Engineer, you\’ll be looked upon to mentor our junior and graduate engineers of an ever growing team to enable us to support future programme demands. This role offers exposure across multiple programmes and business functions. We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
