Negotiable, depending on experience What you\’ll be doing: Develop, implement and maintain the Project Safety Management System within a Systems Engineering framework Produce and manage Project Safety Management Plans & Justification Plans Lead Whole Boat Product Safety hazard and risk identification, management and assessment activities, including modern analysis techniques such as STAMP & STPA Influence the construction and delivery of the Project Safety Case including Safety Case reports throughout the projects lifecycle Complete peer reviews, checking, verification and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation Oversee and peer review junior rules in the Product Safety team Understand the application of wider Safety Case, Quality and HS&E Management System documentation Your skills and experiences: Essential: Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent qualification Awareness of the challenges posed by the environment that the product will be exposed to Experience in delivery of traditional safety analysis techniques such FMEA, HAZOP, FTA etc. Experience in compilation and delivery Safety Case Reports and other supporting safety documentation e.g. plans, process, requirements etc. Experience of development and working within a Projects Safety Management System Ability to interpret technical data and produce clear, logical and robust safety arguments Desirable: Professional Chartership or working towards Demonstrable knowledge of design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and testing submarines lifecycle phases. The Safety & Environmental team: As the Principal Product Safety & Environmental Engineer, you will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Project Product Safety Management System and Product Safety Cases for the SSNA project and be able to resolve & guide others in solving complex project-related issues/ conflicts across disciplines from a Product Safety perspective.
