Salary: Β£42,215+ depending on skills & experience
Responsibilities
- Supporting the de-risking of integrated control systems prior to their release to the boat
- Maintaining and reporting Quality Metrics
- Developing and deploying process and documentation
- Supporting the planning and delivery of the Audit & Assurance schedule and management of resultant actions
- Providing advice, support and coaching to teams within the Test & Facilities function
- Acting as a Process Owner for key Test & Facilities Capability (T&FC) organisation
- Performing administrative and/or super-user duties for Toolsets
- Deputizing for Process & Governance Quality lead when required
- Representing and promoting T&FC Quality at working groups
- Supervising Early Careers colleagues
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 standard
- Broad understanding of Quality tools & techniques including Audit & Assurance, Action Management, Performance management and Continuous improvement
- HNC qualified in a science or engineering-based discipline, or equivalent experience in a Quality role
- LRQA trained internal auditor or equivalent
- Leadership experience would be beneficial

The Test & Facilities Process and Governance team
You will be joining an established and growing team, with plans to expand as we develop new facilities and capabilities. This is a unique role within the shipbuilding environment, focused on supporting a test facility that ensures complex integrated systems - such as vehicle control and communications - function correctly together before reaching the boat. In supporting this critical de-risking stage, the team offers excellent exposure across the wider business.
We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
