What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering product integration workstreams to meet customer and contractual obligations; resolution of engineering conflicts between disciplines, systems and capabilities.
- Integration of activity and solution development; meet a coherent and prioritised set of demands, tailor and apply engineering processes, tools and approaches to develop innovative and creative solutions to contracts and specifications.
- Facilitating collaboration across organisational Engineering boundaries, for example by running working groups and monitoring and driving progress against actions and metrics.
- Definition and governance of Whole Boat Design policies, processes and guidance.
- Utilising support from more junior engineers within Whole Boat to deliver integration activities.
- Ensuring developed SSNA major systems and functions are clearly defined, integrated and configured.
- Performing appropriate engineering coordination and review activities to provide engineering assurance.

Essential
- Knowledge of Engineering Framework(s).
- Engineering Lifecycle.
- System Engineering Principles and ways of working.
- Team leader / mentoring experience would be required for the principal level role.
- Effective stakeholder management across functional and organisational boundaries.
- Management of complex tasks through dispersed teams.
Desirable
- Submarine or Complex Military product knowledge.

The SSNA Whole Boat (Product Architecture and Integration) team: This team has a main responsibility for integration of the SSNA product architecture, working across system, major function and whole boat levels of the design. This also includes integration of product architecture at a system and component level. Integration of product architecture at a major function and major system level, including supporting delivery of high level of product Assurance & architecture.
We have two roles available – each at different levels. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
