What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for all aspects of tooling from procurement to final delivery, liaising with all stakeholders and providing guidance and reporting as required.
- Provide specialist advice on tooling options (applicability for task) and support the operations teams with tooling issues and problem solving where required.
- Leading tooling, calibration and capability reviews as needed.
- Be responsible for communicating and working with a variety of stakeholders to deliver packages of work which achieve a 'business best practice' solution.
- Provide functional support to local and business wide improvement initiatives (e.g. Visual management, Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People, Learning from experience etc.).
- Lead, develop, and motivate any reporting and assigned staff through good communications, open and honest management techniques, in keeping with the Company values, policies, & procedures.
- Responsible for identifying own development opportunities.
- Build effective internal and cross functional relationships to achieve overall Project requirements.
Your Skills And Experiences
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team and provide guidance to early careers engineers as part of their development.
- Accountability of onsite tooling contract management within remit for ME tooling team (i.e. tooling trials on-site).
- HNC qualification or equivalent experience in mechanical or structural engineering.
- Background in manufacturing or production environments.
- Experience working with build aids, jigs/fixtures, or construction tooling.
- Exposure to interim products or sub-assemblies within high-hazard industries.

The Manufacturing Engineering Team
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will have significant involvement in key Manufacturing Engineering projects. You will use your knowledge and experience to guarantee delivery of Manufacturing Engineering outputs into Operations that ensure design intent can be met. The role holder will advise, coach and lead other team members as part of their daily responsibilities. We offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
