What You'll Be Doing
- Providing specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise in the development of engineering processes, and identifying the need for, developing, communicating and maintaining processes supporting the entire engineering lifecycle.
- Understanding and articulating the impact of these processes on other areas of the functional and wider business, including the role of Governance within and beyond Engineering.
- Conducting independent Assurance activities to ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the correct tools and documentation, and endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
- Supporting the development of Platform Design maturity and delivery through the design and build stages of the lifecycle.
- Documenting domain knowledge of Process, Governance and Assurance and sharing information and experience to grow the knowledge base within appropriate business teams.
- Providing technical guidance to other engineers and supporting the engineering management team in planning and controlling specialist activities related to Process, Governance & Maturity.
Your Skills And Experiences
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM‐related field.
- Extensive experience in Process, Governance and Assurance practices, preferably within the defence sector.
- Familiarity with the engineering lifecycle, including direct experience in one or more phases in a Systems Engineering role, with an understanding of the broader engineering process.
- A solid technical understanding of how your work in Process, Governance and Assurance contributes to the overall product, platform or programme.

SSNA Whole Boat (Product Architecture And Integration) Team
You will be responsible for reviewing documentation, writing test procedures and following test procedures for the Platform Management system on Dreadnought. The team plays a critical role in testing software and hardware of vital management systems, writing test procedures and delivering measures to significant stages of the submarine build. You will have an opportunity to work on complex engineering and testing projects in a rapidly growing team. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
