The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

Responsibilities
- Protect the company reputation through the delivery of proactive media relations in support of the company strategy and issues management.
- Act as a first port of call for media, handling certain enquiries and directing others as appropriate to ensure a timely response.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with our core media contacts, as well as internal and external stakeholders to support delivery and improve effectiveness of our external communications activity.
- Support the Heads of Media in the development and delivery of integrated communications plans, leading on some areas within your portfolio.
- Provide communications advice and develop creative ideas on areas within your brief.
- Play a role in the strategy, planning, organisation, logistics and delivery for planned external comms activities such as site visits and interviews.
- Develop content creation, working with the businesses as necessary, including photography, video, graphics, news releases, social copy, insights and stories, ensuring consistency of message and brand identity.
- Manage and deliver key press office services such as the media database, media monitoring and licensing, including managing relationships with key suppliers.
Qualifications
- Experience in a busy press office, agency or newsroom.
- Delivering external communications projects across traditional, digital and social media.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Supporting function-wide communications objectives, meeting specific deadlines and tracking actions.

This role sits within the Group Communications team in Head Office, reporting to the Head of Media, UK. As a Media Relations Advisor, you will be a key member of the Digital and Media Relations team, helping to keep the Group press office running smoothly and acting as a first point of contact for media enquiries. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in proactive media activity and contribute to shaping the company's external profile.
