What You'll Be Doing
- In the Platform Nuclear Engineering Department (PNED) you will be responsible for ensuring the nuclear reactor is safely designed, built and tested, providing the power the submarine needs to protect the nation.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to deliver a reliable and secure reactor, requiring strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Impact the construction and commissioning of the reactor at the Barrow site by addressing emerging issues, reviewing formal documents, and facilitating site inspections.
- Possibly gain hands‐on experience on submarines through engineering support opportunities.

Qualification Requirements
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C, including Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject, plus one of the following:
- 3 A‐levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths and a Science/Technical or Engineering subject.
- An equivalent Level 3 vocational qualification, STEM related, worth at least 96 UCAS points.
