Location: Broad Oak, Portsmouth – Hampshire (First 12 months in Skills Development Centre at Portsmouth Naval Base)

Salary: Starting from £18,848 with annual progression through the scheme.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Overhaul and manufacture components and assemblies found within our complex radar and underwater military products.
  • Produce or refurbish components found in our underwater military products.
  • Interpret drawings/specifications to plan work, ensuring you have the right tools, equipment and resources to complete the task to the required specification.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques, including but not limited to electrical wiring, mechanical fitting, printed circuit board rework and microelectronics processing.
  • During the first year you will be based within our Skills Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base.

Qualifications and Completion

  • EAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Nationally recognised Apprenticeship Completion Certificate at the end of the apprenticeship.
