Salary: Starting from £18,848 with annual progression through the scheme.
What You'll Be Doing
- Overhaul and manufacture components and assemblies found within our complex radar and underwater military products.
- Produce or refurbish components found in our underwater military products.
- Interpret drawings/specifications to plan work, ensuring you have the right tools, equipment and resources to complete the task to the required specification.
- Develop a detailed understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques, including but not limited to electrical wiring, mechanical fitting, printed circuit board rework and microelectronics processing.
- During the first year you will be based within our Skills Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base.
Qualifications and Completion
- EAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
- Nationally recognised Apprenticeship Completion Certificate at the end of the apprenticeship.
