Salary: £35,047 – £45,154 (Commensurate with skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
You will apply and develop your understanding of Airframe engineering principles required to design, develop and maintain fast jets and uncrewed air systems that meet our customer requirements. These principles run throughout the Engineering Life Cycle, from initial concept through to disposal.
You could be working in:

Product Design – producing the integrated airframe design definition and physical product design dataset to enable product manufacture, through-life support, qualification and certification.

Materials Engineering – supporting the delivery of fit for purpose materials and process solutions throughout design and manufacture, supporting facility and material qualification, standardisation and product safety.

Structures Engineering – ensuring the structural integrity of products by using a range of analysis techniques such as structural sizing and analysis, Finite Element Analysis, fatigue, Durability and Damage Tolerance analysis, Qualification and Certification

A degree in a STEM subject

Demonstrable experience with engineering toolsets (e.g. CAD, FEA, MATLAB) on engineering projects through full-time employment (highly desirable) or university work (at a minimum)

Innovative and creative problem-solving skills

Experience of the Engineering Lifecycle and awareness of Product Safety

Excellent communication skills demonstrated with juniors and superiors

Self-motivated and pro-active with effective collaboration skills

The Airframe Engineering Teams:
You will be working in one of our Airframe Engineering disciplines: Product Design, Materials Engineering or Structures Engineering in a collaborative office environment. Your team will support your development; we will provide technical training and support to Professional Registration. We also encourage employees to explore projects beyond their primary responsibilities, providing them with diverse experiences.
