Salary: £42,850 – £47,217 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage budget requests end-to-end, from initial demand identification through approval, execution and completion.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial trackers, ensuring monthly updates and correct representation within line-by-line cost sheets, with timely data management.
  • Conduct weekly data reviews and reconciliations to ensure financial data remains accurate, current and fully auditable.
  • Proactively identify, assess and manage risks and opportunities across the service, supporting informed decision-making and performance optimisation.
  • Ensure Customer/Contract Status Reviews (CSRs) and Estimates to Complete (ETCs) are produced, reviewed and understood within launch timescales, securing Design Authority Services (DAS) lead approval prior to market engagement.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver agreed outputs, milestones and performance targets.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced capability in MS Excel for data analysis, tracking and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Project Control processes, including Customer/Contract Status Review (CSR) methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, applying a proactive, customer-focused approach to continuously improve service delivery and operational effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying risks and opportunities, providing recommendations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across projects.

Desirable:

  • Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, APM PMQ/PFQ, or PMP.

The Design Authority Services Project Team:

The DAS PM/PC team provides essential support for responding to Engineering Support Demands (ESDs) across Typhoon, Hawk, Tornado, and F35 platforms. The role is highly reactive, requiring team members to respond to evolving customer requirements in a fast-paced environment. Success in this team demands adaptability, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging engineering setting.
