Location: Cowes (Isle of Wight)
The first 3 months of your apprenticeship will be spent undertaking initial engineering, health and safety training in the Skills Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base. On successful completion of this training you will transfer to our manufacturing site, located at Cowes, Isle of Wight where you will develop the skills and knowledge to undertake the role of a Test Engineer.
Salary: Starting from £22,500 with annual progression through the scheme duration.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will gain valuable experience in electrical, mechanical and electronic manufacturing engineering environments. Test Engineers utilise engineering drawings, data and documentation to undertake the measurement, diagnostics & verification of technical performance on a wide range of electrical and electronic components.

- Level 4 Apprenticeship Certificate (Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard)
- Higher National Certificate in Engineering

Qualification Requirements
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following:
- 3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject
- An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)
