The predicted salary is between 18000 - 25000 £ per year.

Location: Cowes (Isle of Wight). The first 3 months of your apprenticeship will be spent undertaking initial engineering, health and safety training in the Skills Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base. On successful completion of this training you will transfer to our manufacturing site, located at Cowes, Isle of Wight where you will develop the skills and knowledge to undertake the role of a Test Engineer.

Salary: Starting from £22,500 with annual progression through the scheme duration.

What you'll be doing: You will gain valuable experience in electrical, mechanical and electronic manufacturing engineering environments. Test Engineers utilise engineering drawings, data and documentation to undertake the measurement, diagnostics & verification of technical performance on a wide range of electrical and electronic components.

What qualification will you get: Level 4 Apprenticeship Certificate (Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard) Higher National Certificate in Engineering.

Export Control/Security: Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements: 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following: 3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject. An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points.
