What you'll be doing:

  • Project Controls – Build an understanding of the performance and reporting elements of project controls.
  • Project Planning – Gain working knowledge of project planning principles and how they are applied on BAE Systems Naval Ships programmes.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management – Become familiar with the risk and opportunity management plans and processes.
  • Change Management – Developing an understanding of the end‑to‑end change management process, supporting the production of change metrics and reports.

What Qualification Will You Get?

  • Diploma in Project Management SCQF Level 8.
  • APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) at SCQF Level 7.

Export Control/Security: Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements: 5 National 5s (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, which must include Maths (Application of Maths can be accepted) & English & a Business / IT related subject AND 2 Highers (or equivalent) which must include English at grade C or above.
