Location: Cowes (Isle of Wight)
The first 3 months of your apprenticeship will be spent undertaking initial engineering, health and safety training in the Skills Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base. On successful completion of this training you will transfer to our manufacturing site, located at Cowes, Isle of Wight.
Salary: Starting from £22,500 with annual progression through the scheme duration
What you'll be doing:
- Utilise engineering drawings, data and documentation in order to undertake the design, evaluation, measuring, diagnosing & verification of technical performance on a wide range of mechanical, electrical and electronic assemblies and components found within our complex Maritime and Land based Radar products. This covers Radio Frequency transmit and receive modules, power regulators, control boards and other bespoke assemblies.
- Gain knowledge and expertise in the use of a wide range of common and specialist design, measuring and diagnostic tools & testing equipment, in order to follow a technical specification and process to ensure individual components and assemblies meet the required parameters.

Qualification requirements:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following:
- 3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject.
- An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points).
