Salary: Up to £51,000 (dependent on skills and experience).
What you’ll be doing:
- Able to perform advanced project reporting & scheduling.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of Business process and procedures.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of Project Control Toolsets.
- Able to manage the Project Control processes on a full project lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met, and that financial and other benefits are achieved.
- Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project.
- Apply appropriate Project Control methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
- Agrees Project Control approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
- Able to lead a small team and deliver project outcomes with minimal guidance from the Line Manager.
Your skills and experiences:
- Degree level education, or demonstrate comparable amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.
- Manage reports and ability to collate senior executive briefing documents, including data visualisation (Visio, PowerPoint, Tableau).
- Recognised project management qualification (such as the APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent) is expected.
- Background in Manufacturing/Engineering/Maritime industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in PM in a Continuous Improvement environment is highly desirable.

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Team is dedicated to making our business as effective and efficient as possible in delivering through-life support for some of the world’s most advanced vessels - from aircraft carriers to offshore patrol vessels. Warship Support covers every aspect of readiness, including engineering, maintenance, supply chain management, and defect rectification, ensuring our fleet remains mission-ready at all times. Working across all functions, the CI Team drives meaningful change initiatives that are championed by senior leadership and make a real difference to how we operate.
You will directly support the Continuous Improvement team using your tried and tested PM knowledge, offering advice and PM oversight. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and support projects that span every function of the business, with a clear focus on how we operate and deliver. This role provides a unique perspective on the organisation, offering privileged access to senior leadership and involvement in shaping the delivery of our strategic goals.
