Job Title: F uture Engineering Sub-system (FESS) Design Engineer Location: Warton We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. Salary: £45,326+ depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Analysis of system requirements and transposing them in to the system design Creating and reviewing documentation to be used by the wider FESS team and customers Configuring supplier provided software to ensure that the application builds are successfully carried out on a regular basis Coaching, and provide technical Guidance to junior members of the team Maintaining familiarity with all current tools /SW products / processes used within the team Managing your own time effectively to maintain tight programme timescales Your skills and experiences: Essential: Strong engineering background Experience of system and software application design and architecture principles Understands modelling techniques and tools (UML, Enterprise Architect, XML/XSD) Experience of requirements analysis, elaboration and management tools (Rational DOORS) Experience of using configuration and version control tools (Rational ClearCase, Git) Experience of Windows operating systems environments, test processes, database technologies and s/w development knowledge, Requirements Management and Traceability with an understanding of use cases A pro-active approach to problem solving, the ability to work as part of a team and motivate others, demonstrable performance across the company behaviours, effective communication skills Desirable: Experience with database technologies (Oracle, SQL, etc.) Experience of software application builds and deployment.
