Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering the Site Engineering Transformation programme & managing the schedule.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans to enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Driving standardisation and optimisation of infrastructure engineering practices across departments.
  • Establishing performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to track progress and impact of initiatives.
  • Supporting in leading a small team of engineers.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in driving improvement and operational excellence, with expertise in Lean/Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred) or other improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to develop and maintain complex Excel models, dashboards, and automated reporting from multiple data sources, leveraging advanced formulas and functions, with high-level analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

  • Recognised higher qualification in a STEM subject (or equivalent through experience), coupled with demonstrable line management capability.
  • Eligibility for or attainment of Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status with clear route to attaining Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
  • ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001 Lead Auditor Qualified.
