You will work as part of the Digital Intelligence team within BAE Systems, collaborating on the latest challenges facing our UK and international customers, brought together to influence requirements and propose new solutions in a growing and stimulating business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing overall military digital defence solutions that meet our customer and end-user needs.
- Collaboration with bidding, sales and 3rd parties to propose solutions that are innovative, competitive, achievable and value for money.
- Documenting high and low-level designs that align with customer requirements.
- Writing compelling technical proposals to support bids and pre-sales.
- Presenting solutions and ability to influence customer strategies and requirements.
- Horizon scanning of current and emerging technologies trends and innovations.
Your Skills And Experiences:
As part of the Digital Intelligence team, you will primarily bring technical expertise, creative thinking and domain knowledge to the Solution Architect role and your skills will include:
- Deep technical understanding in digital technologies and integration strategies with military platforms.
- Strong natural ability to problem solve, research and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
- Domain knowledge of military projects and programmes.
- Familiarity with UK MOD and NATO Standards.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen to achieve successful and profitable value for money solutions.
- Excellent team player, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
To provide the foundations for the role, you will likely have achieved degree level education in a technology subject or equivalent through significant career experience. Your career will likely have provided exposure to UK MOD, NATO or international projects and programmes that build on your use of technology and ability to solve complex technical problems, while delivering on time and within budget.
