What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage a team of 10–20 requirements and systems engineers, driving the development and management of the requirements set for the SSNA platform.
- Collaborate closely with the Ministry of Defence to translate their needs into a well-defined requirements set, while engaging with key stakeholders such as the Office of the Chief Engineer and engineering delivery teams.
- Oversee the decomposition and allocation of functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring smooth transition from user needs to equipment and supplier levels.
- Manage the collation of Verification and Validation (V&V) evidence within the requirements management tool (DOORS) and oversee the Acceptance process.
- Work in partnership with the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) team to maintain alignment between the requirements set and system models, maximizing the benefits of MBSE for requirements optimization.
Your skills and experiences:
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in Requirements Systems Engineering.
- A good background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Proven experience in stakeholder management with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Leadership abilities or a genuine enthusiasm to transition into a leadership role after a technical career path.
- Familiarity with DOORS requirements management software is highly desirable.
