Job Title: Engineering Manager – Electrical (Control & Instrumentation)

Salary: From £62,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and integrating technical, functional, and system requirements, including change management
- Managing system design and work with stakeholders to meet key design milestones and qualification testing
- Leading on the development of the graphical user interface and attending trials with the shipyard, supplier and end user
- Identifying and mitigating technical risks related to the PMS design and interfaces
- Leading the design and development of control systems, including software, firmware, and lifecycle planning
- Reviewing contractors’ Engineering Management Plans and provide feedback to improve processes
- Supporting system demonstrations, tests, and trials, liaising with contractors, manufacturers, and internal teams
Your Skills and Experience:
- Experience in designing and integrating complex systems
- Proven expertise in electronic, C&I (EC&I), hardware, or software engineering
- Understanding of Systems Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering
- Level 4 qualification (e.g., HNC or higher) in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Ideally, Chartered Engineer status with the IET (or similar institution) or working towards C.Eng

The Dreadnought Alliance Engineering Team:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join the Dreadnought Alliance Engineering Team. You will be involved in all stages of design, construction, testing, and commissioning, ensuring that the PMS meets the Dreadnought Alliance Customer Requirements. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
