Project Management IT Apprentice Location: Preston
Salary: Starting from £23,000 with annual progression through the scheme duration.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will experience different placements working within Shared Services in the Enterprise IT business which supports all our BAE Systems sectors in the UK, giving you the opportunity to make a rewarding contribution to the work we do. You will learn the knowledge required to successfully manage our complex projects and programmes such as developing leadership and change management skills, understanding how to utilise project management tools, methods and developing strategic plans within our IT Project Management teams. You’ll learn how to manage budgets, schedules, risks and resources, applying project governance and tools. Placements could include working with the Business Change and Business Relationship teams within our IT Operations. Alongside technical knowledge, you’ll build communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills with behaviours focussed on professionalism, adaptability and accountability.
Qualification You’ll Receive
Project Manager (Integrated Degree, BSc Hons in Project Management) Level 6. The Project Management Degree Apprenticeship is delivered by the University of Cumbria which is held on campus at Lancaster University with a mixture of in-person attendance and online delivery sessions.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
