What you’ll be doing:
Working in Project Management means you will be the eyes and ears of a given project, ensuring it is delivered on time, to cost and of the required quality. You will gain a broad view across the project and will be able to demonstrate the elements needed to make it a success. This depends on understanding the big picture, recognising the key issues, making effective decisions and driving actions. The five-year scheme offers five different placements across the Air sector, where you will learn the skills required to successfully manage complex projects and programmes including communication, schedule management, budgeting and cost control, stakeholder management, risk management and project governance.
What qualification will you get?
Attending the University of Cumbria (Lancaster), one day per week, you will study a BSc (Hons) Degree in Project Management. In addition, you will also gain the Association of Project Management PMQ qualification.

Please note you must not book any annual leave within the first 3 months of your apprenticeship. Following this, leave will be considered depending on the individual training delivery schedule and must be approved by your line manager.

These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must achieve at a minimum Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification requirements:
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4 / A*-C which must include Maths & English AND 96 UCAS Points (or equivalent) (excluding UCAS points gained at AS level).
