About the Naval Ships Combat Systems Team:
As part of our UK Maritime Sector, Naval Ships designs, builds and delivers complex warships and combat systems, and you could play a vital role in its future. We are designing and building the Royal Navy's new Type 26 Global Combat Ship. A highly capable and versatile multi‑mission warship designed to support anti‑submarine warfare, air defence and other operations anywhere on the world's oceans. Our combat systems are in operation in more than 20 countries around the world and this technology is vital in providing crew members with the information and capabilities they need to operate effectively, whether protecting the world's shipping lanes or providing humanitarian relief.

Export Control/Security:
Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification requirements:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following:
- 3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject OR An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)
