What you’ll be doing:
- Support development of network architecture and component design solutions, with minimal hands‑on responsibility.
- Capture and manage network‑related requirements and acceptance criteria across systems and platforms.
- Produce key design documentation, including network diagrams, interface specifications and parts requirements.
- Ensure network design verification evidence is complete, traceable and formally approved, meeting agreed time, cost, and quality targets.
- Maintain compliance with all contractual, safety, environmental and engineering standards.
- Attend network testing and configuration activities to support validation and ensure design alignment.
Your skills and experiences:
- Hold a relevant degree or have experience within an IT networking background.
- Have good technical report writing skills.
- Proven experience of network infrastructure systems design.

The Platform Complex Systems Delivery Team: BAE Systems Submarines is entering an exciting period of growth in the new Coventry office to attract top engineering talent. As part of this team, you will play a key role in developing platform system designs—focusing on network design, technical decision‑making, and ensuring supplier compliance through design reviews, testing oversight and delivery guidance. This is an office‑based hybrid position with minimal hands‑on engineering, ideal for someone confident in system‑level thinking and supporting technical outcomes across multi‑faceted submarine programmes supporting a vital national endeavour.
