What you’ll be doing:
- The development processes (e.g. requirements, design, specification, implementation, acceptance testing), and development tools
- The design and implementation/modelling of database tables
- Implementation of database packages using the Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Performance monitoring and enhancement of an Oracle database, monitoring the Oracle website for updates and engaging with Oracle to request patches as well as Horizon scanning for vulnerabilities
- Creating bespoke applications and automated deployment using PowerShell
Your skills and experiences:
- Systems development lifecycle experience, from design through to testing
- Demonstrable experience in Database Management
- A background in IT Defence domain knowledge is desirable
- Interpersonal and communication skills. Confidence to liaise with customer and user representatives to discuss systems technical issues

The Foundation team: This exciting systems & software programme covers many disciplines including design, development, installation, implementation, integration, acceptance, training and logistics support – it is run solely from our Christchurch site for delivery to our customer at various MoD locations.
