What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing the creation, agreement and baselining of Project Scope for delivery tasks assigned (WBS, PBS, RAM, OBS, Project Schedule etc).
  • Managing all aspects of project planning, monitoring and financial control, providing leadership to a team of Project Management/Control professionals to deliver rigorous project control outcomes.
  • Preparing and submitting compelling bid submissions to support winning new business activities on the Programme.
  • Planning and managing the IT infrastructure installation and integration activities including oversight of engineering activities.
  • Managing the transition of resources into the new facility, ensuring the implementation of complex security requirements.
  • Managing diverse internal and external stakeholders while applying critical thinking and calm, effective leadership to navigate emerging challenges and ensure project success.
  • Identifying, monitoring, and managing project risks and issues, while establishing and maintaining governance arrangements with clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities aligned to organisational practices.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in project management, with practical knowledge of requirements management, planning and scheduling, resource and budget management, risk and issue management, quality assurance, governance, stakeholder engagement, and subcontractor management.
  • Experience in delivering Construction Build/Infrastructure programmes with regards to future building functionality and appropriate integration as the building is delivered.
  • Experienced in leading project delivery with strong knowledge of project management techniques, risk identification across business processes and technology, and delivering IT infrastructure and systems integration projects.
  • Experience collaborating closely with customers and preparing and delivering customer bids.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, combined with experience in managing and motivating teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Experience of working within or in close collaboration with the UK MoD as a Project Manager.
  • Experience of setting to work IT in a new facility.

The Team:

A requirement has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a Managed Service contract into the Ministry of Defence. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for a key part of a strategically important and highly visible Programme, working collaboratively with our customer, the capability sponsor organisation, BAE Systems stakeholders and external organisations. The programme will be delivering a new facility and the Project Manager's responsibility will be to lead a team to set to work the IT infrastructure and transition into the new facility. In addition to this, you will be supporting the programme in managing the delivery of change tasks and technical refresh activities.
