What you'll be doing:
- Working alongside the Technology and Toolset Capability development teams, this role will involve the development and demonstration of producibility processes within the Factory of the Future Manufacturing Engineering team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide producibility deliverables accordingly to meet business requirements.
- Work closely with design and Technology R&D teams to integrate simulation feedback into the product development lifecycle.
- Support activities to mature Siemens toolset processes by applying to demonstrator products and feedback to the development team.
- Where required, demonstrate the toolset capability within customer/stakeholder reviews/engagement forums.
- Interface with a range of stakeholders including internal and external customers, Manufacturing Function, Subject Matter Experts (SME), Toolset Development Teams, Siemens support engineers.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in a production manufacturing role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in analysing complex engineering processes.
- Demonstrate a flexible approach, adapting their approach to the differing timescales of early lifecycle products.
- Minimum HND in an Engineering discipline and/or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Experience in the engineering and manufacture of mechanical assembly products.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Air Sector Manufacturing Engineering policies and processes.
- Experience with engineering toolsets (Siemens NX / Siemens RAC (Rich Access Client) / CAD / PLM / SAPCAMS).
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Understanding of digital inspection e.g. CMM (co-ordinate measuring machine), laser tracker.

The Manufacturing Engineering Delivering Team:
As one of the FalconWorks Technology Environments, Factory of the Future is responsible for developing, integrating and demonstrating new technologies and capabilities, to validate the benefits of novel methods and support provide a unique environment in which to engineer and manufacture one-off demonstrator products. This role will be based within the Factory of the Future, Manufacturing Engineering delivery team. Specifically, the role will be focussed around the development and demonstration of the Siemens Connected toolset, establishing an initial producibility capability within the Manufacturing Engineering delivery team.
