What you'll be doing
- Responsibility for defining, planning and tracking the projects in your portfolio.
- Working closely with stakeholders from different areas of the business, including regulatory bodies, the external submarines community and suppliers. You will be required to ensure that there is a sound basis for the management and overall delivery success.
- Responsibility for assuring portfolio success for the projects within and ensure that they are adhering to schedule, cost and quality. Also ensuring success against the set targets and measures.
- Managing meaningful and supportive relationships across the portfolio team, outsourced project teams and with internal and external stakeholders as required throughout the delivery cycle.
Your skills and experiences
- Professional qualification in project management such as APM/Prince2 or other recognised qualifications will be considered.
- Strong experience within project management, project delivery and portfolio management.
- Proven experience of delivering projects to time, cost and quality with an outsourced partner along with working within a strict governance process.
- Ability to co-ordinate colleagues, volunteers and contracted parties through expert leadership, motivation, teamwork, supervision and accountability.
- Experience of working with and manage external IT partners and suppliers and capability to manage partners, 3rd parties, projects and stakeholders.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with attention to detail.

The IT Digital Workplace Infrastructure Services team
By joining the team, you will collaboratively provide project and/or portfolio management expertise to the IT Digital Workplace & Infrastructure Services team - ensuring delivery of key projects comprising product, process and system development. This is a great chance to contribute to the enhancement of the department's project management framework and to ensure current and future projects are delivered in line with good practice project management techniques.
