<b>Job Description</b><p><b>Job Title: </b>Commissioning Project Lead – Electrical </p>n<p><b>Location:</b> Barrow-In-Furness (Onsite) – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. </p>n<p><b>Salary:</b> Negotiable depending on skills and experience</p>n<p><b> </b></p>n<p><b>What you’ll be doing:</b></p>n<ul>n<li>Planning and supervising commissioning activities</li>n<li>Overseeing Electrical Rip outs for the weapons section</li>n<li>Reviewing and authoring test documentation in relation to the weapons test section</li>n<li>Reviewing and planning training and development of electrical engineers within the section</li>n<li>Deputising for the weapons Managers in their absence and act as temporary lead, covering all weapons section meeting</li>n<li>Liaising with other test departments to ensure safe control of work</li>n<li>Ensuring all commissioning activities are met to accurately plan and budget</li>n<li>Providing expertise & advice and guidance by acting as Subject Matter Expert at Test Group</li>n</ul>n<p><b>Your skills and experiences:</b></p>n<p>Essential</p>n<ul>n<li>Commissioning Engineering experience</li>n<li>Experience of reviewing electrical and weapons technical documentation and drawings</li>n<li>Good knowledge of either Sonar, Navigation, Command Systems or external communications systems from either commissioning or maintaining experience </li>n<li>Knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high-risk operational environment</li>n<li>Experience or knowledge with Instrumentation Systems including Electrostatic Discharge, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications & Fibre Optics</li>n</ul>n<p>Desirable</p>n<ul>n<li>Experience with Spice, SAP, or Primavera P6</li>n</ul>n<p><b>Benefits:</b></p>n<p>As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.</p>n<p><b>The Test & Commissioning team:</b></p>n<p>As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, technical control & development of personnel in consistently achieving the following: Departmental goals, Performance metrics expectations, Milestones in accordance with the Contract Delivery Programme. You will have an opportunity to lead & manage a team of Engineers within the Weapons Test Section, coordinating input of information to the team from all engineering functions. You will be working on advanced weapons equipment, requiring a high specialist focus.
