What You’ll Be Doing

You will gain real experience working in the Supply Chain supporting Manufacturing, Maintenance or Procurement. You will gain a broad knowledge of the supply chain and learn the skills to contribute to our continuous improvement culture. Through a combination of ‘off-the-job’ training, reviews and work placements, you will gain exposure to real scenarios that support our business. Your off the job training will include interactive classroom sessions, delivered by prominent industry professionals, studying topics such as:

  • Logistics
  • Procurement
  • New Products
  • Capacity Planning
  • Process Improvement
  • Planning Manufacture

What qualification will you get?

The Advanced Supply Chain Practitioner Apprenticeship will provide the opportunity to gain the following: Level 3 Supply Chain Practitioner.

Please note you must not book any annual leave within the first 3 months of your apprenticeship. Following this, leave will be considered depending on the individual training delivery schedule and must be approved by your line manager.

Export Control/Security

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification Requirements

5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4 / A*- C which must include Maths & English.
