Advanced Apprentice Engineering Technician
BAE Systems – Brough, East Riding Of Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom
Salary: Starting from ÂŁ18,018 with annual progression through the scheme duration.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You will undertake your Year 1 training at a Hull and East Yorkshire Training Provider and at the Aircraft Maintenance Academy in Humberside 5 days per week.
- Training will be practical and theory‑based engineering.
- You will learn the basics for completing placements in engineering.
- Year 1 of your Level 3 Knowledge Qualification will be completed during this time.
Years 2 To 4
- Placements will be office‑based using computer‑based tools with interaction with customers, suppliers and aircraft.
- Placements will be across various programmes within the Air business, giving you experience in engineering areas including design, systems, in‑service support, flight test, mission systems and integration.
- You will gain experience on all stages of an aircraft lifecycle.
What qualification will you get?
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support.
You will also be encouraged to become accredited to a professional engineering institution such as the Royal Aeronautical Society or the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
