Location: Glasgow

Salary: Starting from £23,272 with annual progression through the scheme duration.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Use a 3D modelling/CAD Software to design ship’s structure, internal layouts as well as the ships pipework, electrical & ventilation systems.
  • Produce and develop designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards.
  • Carry out detail design appraisals in assigned areas to ensure all standards are maintained.
  • Carry out investigations into operational problems or developments.
  • Develop and prepare solutions, either on your own or as a member of a team.

Export Control/Security:

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

  • 4 National 5s (or equivalent) at grade C or above which must include Maths (excluding Application of Maths) & English & a Science / Technical subject.
  • 3 Highers (or equivalent) at grade C or above in English & Maths (excluding Application of Maths) & a Science / Technical subject.
