Senior Test Engineer in Camberley

Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support the development of validation and verification plans and procedures for performing activities that will deliver system element and stakeholder requirements acceptance criteria.
• Support the validation and verification / qualification activities against the validation and verification plan(s) specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme.
• Ensure compliance against contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation.
• Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
• Support the development of estimates for the scope of work and resources required to deliver it to support bids, proposal development and project planning activities for various systems.
• Work with various engineering teams to improve own levels of domain knowledge and subject matter expertise.
• Support preparation for integration readiness reviews.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Experience with the installation, configuration, and testing of complex systems.
• Practical involvement in testing and trial activities, including preparation, execution, and review and sign-off.
• Fault investigation and resolution skills within multi-faceted systems.
• HNC in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience gained in a similar environment.

Desirable:

• Background in defence, naval or IT environments.
• Experience in commissioning activities, particularly within advanced or safety-critical systems.

The Combat Systems Product Development Team:

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will support the delivery of multi-faceted combat system capability through testing and trials activity. You will carry out and execute test scripts, support system testing and produce trials documentation to ensure equipment performs as intended, working closely with internal system integration teams as programmes evolve. As the build phase progresses, you will engage with MOD stakeholders to support integration and operational readiness.
