Organizations tasked with protecting their nation, critical infrastructure, businesses, and citizens face significant challenges in countering evolving and targeted cyber threats.
In this role, the Solution Architect will lead the design and development of products for national security propositions, supporting international government missions in areas such as national cyber, communications monitoring, anti-terrorism, and serious crime. The role includes the following tasks:
- Technical design of multi-component data processing systems, including understanding requirements, elaborating solutions, breaking down into sub-systems, refining designs with development teams, and generating estimates and risk assessments.
- Documenting designs and estimates, conducting peer reviews, and ensuring design quality through review processes.
- Creating content for customer proposals and contracts, capturing solution scope, compliance, and wider solution aspects like delivery approach, commercial, and risk considerations.
- Developing new design aspects aligned with existing solution patterns, contributing innovative ideas within the team.
Essential Experience and Skills:
- Strong technical background in software, hardware, or digital systems, with the ability to work at a high level and delve into details when necessary.
- Experience in designing or implementing data processing systems, including data capture, processing, storage, and visualization, with knowledge of AI/ML and Big Data.
- Hands-on experience with systems installation, configuration, basic scripting, and debugging.
- Understanding of data analysis, multi-data set usage, search, filtering, and data discovery.
- Knowledge of IP networks, data protocols, and cyber attack mechanisms.
- Willingness to travel internationally several times a year, for periods ranging from a few days to two weeks, often with short notice.
