What you’ll be doing:
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver training system upgrades, developments, and in-service support.
- Plan, track, and monitor engineering work to meet cost, schedule, and quality commitments.
- Manage engineering resources, priorities, and technical risks across the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with engineering governance, lifecycle processes, and contractual obligations.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Design Authorities, customers, and suppliers.
- Provide regular status reporting, forecasts, and engineering metrics.
- Drive a positive engineering culture focused on quality, transparency, and continuous improvement.

The Sub-Surface Simulation team:
The team delivers synthetic training solutions for a range of defence customers. The work involves maintaining legacy capability while also introducing new technologies and upgrades. This creates a dynamic environment where the team works collaboratively to solve complex integration challenges and maintains a strong focus on quality, safety and customer outcomes.
Overall, this role offers the challenge of delivering complex, mission-critical systems within demanding cost, schedule, and quality constraints, while working on technology that directly supports front-line defence capability.
