What you’ll be doing:
- Define, capture, maintain and govern a clear Business Intelligence strategy which is repeatable having well defined patterns which are easy to follow.
- Enable the business to widely adopt self-serve Business Intelligence by providing clear guidance, guardrails and solutions.
- Ensure the Business Intelligence solution is scalable, robust and maintainable to meet the growing needs of the business across the UK and rest of world.
- Monitor changing industry trends to understand and review up and coming technologies in order to embed them into roadmaps as appropriate.
- Clearly articulate and present logically structured arguments for on-going changes to technologies and approaches as appropriate to encourage continual improvement.
- Create and manage Business Intelligence roadmaps in terms of both managing obsolescence and new technology leaps.
- Provide advice and mentorship to the wider delivery teams both in the centre and functional forward as required.
- Provide support and guidance to Business Intelligence developers within the central Data and Analytics team.
- Work with our key vendors and support partners to mature the Business Intelligence and data exploitation approach across the enterprise.
Your skills and experiences:
- Essential: Good communication skills – specifically able to translate complex technical ideas into communication which both technical and non-technical colleagues can understand.
- Logically minded in order to encourage standardised processes and governance.
- Confidence to hold their own in order to govern against policies.
- Good experience working within a data background.
- Experience of working within a strategy role.
- Proven experience of architecting & governing enterprise-wide solutions.

The Business Intelligence Architect team: The role of the Business Intelligence Architect is to develop & govern the Shared Services D&A Business Architecture Practice, specifically relating to business design, business requirements management and process design including validation & verification.
