Location: London, hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Grade: GG09 – GG10, Referral Bonus: £5,000.

Job Description

A Security Consultant will enable clients to understand exposure to security threats and implement pragmatic, cost‑effective controls. Responsibilities include assessing risks at technical or process level, creating risk assessments and reports, translating framework controls into business requirements, and supporting business growth through proposals and customer presentations.

Core Duties

• Understand and explain risk exposure to cyber security threats.
• Help identify, manage and treat risk to a client’s information and IT assets.
• Support client interviews, investigations and risk assessment reports.
• Translate framework controls into business requirements in straightforward situations.
• Work with account teams to identify new opportunities and produce quality proposals.

Delivery Effectiveness

• Plan, schedule and monitor work to meet objectives and quality targets.
• Agree project approach, prepare realistic plans and track activities.
• Use role‑relevant tooling at an advanced level.
• Ensure projects are formally closed and lessons learned recorded.

Effective teamwork & communication

• Collaborate with clients and colleagues; raise concerns in a timely manner.
• Prepare and run simple project meetings effectively.
• Find common ground with team members and influence within the team.
• Support and build teams to achieve business goals.

Strategy, Analysis & Context

• Summarise key problems, simplify difficult situations and model actions.
• Conduct information gathering interviews up to middle management level.
